About us

We have been making outdoor cushions for years.

Not as a sideline to something else. Cushions are the whole business, and they have been for a long time. Every order that comes through this site is cut and sewn to the measurements you send us, by people who do this all day, every day.

The production floor: racked outdoor fabric and computerized cutting tables on one side, the sewing floor in the middle, filling and finished cushions on the other
Fabric goes in one end as a roll and leaves the other end as a finished cushion. Cutting, sewing and filling all happen under one roof.

What we actually do

There is no warehouse of finished cushions here waiting for someone to want a 24 x 22. Nothing gets cut until an order exists, which is the only honest way to sell a product that has to match furniture we have never seen. You give us the dimensions, the shape, the fabric and the details, and that becomes a cutting instruction rather than a search through a bin of near-enough sizes.

That covers seat cushions, backs, deep seating, chaise pads, bench and glider cushions, ottomans, round and trapezoid shapes, and throw pillows to go with them. If your furniture is an odd shape, that is a normal Tuesday, not a special request.

Quality, in the boring specific sense

Quality in this trade is not a slogan, it is a short list of decisions that either get made properly or do not:

  • The fabric. Solution-dyed acrylics and outdoor-rated wovens, where the color goes through the fiber instead of sitting on top of it. It is the difference between a cushion that fades over many seasons and one that goes chalky in a single summer.
  • The thread and the seams. Outdoor thread, sewn to hold. A cushion usually fails at a seam long before the fabric gives up, so that is where the care goes.
  • The fill. Matched to what the cushion is for. A dining seat and a deep-seating back are not the same problem and should not get the same foam.
  • The measurements. We cut to the number you give us, which is why we would rather spend ten minutes on the phone getting it right than replace a cushion later.

Reasonable prices, and why we can hold them

Custom does not have to mean precious. Because the cutting and sewing happen in-house, there is no middle layer marking things up on the way to you, and the price you see reflects the materials and the labor rather than a chain of hands.

We would rather quote you a fair number and keep you as a customer for the next set of cushions than win once and never hear from you again. Prices are shown as you build the cushion, before you commit to anything, and the shipping is calculated rather than guessed at.

Talking to a person

Call the number at the top of this page and you get someone who works here, not a call center reading from a card. If you are unsure how to measure something, send a photo of the frame with a tape measure lying across it and we will tell you what we need. Most questions get answered the same day, and everything gets answered within one business day.
