10 to 14 business days from the day your fabric is cut, plus transit. Special-order fabrics add 5 to 7 business days because the mill has to ship the bolt to us first - those fabrics are marked in the fabric book and in your cart. Peak season (April to June) can add a few days.

Until the fabric is cut, yes - call us. Once it is cut we cannot undo it, because the piece is now the shape of your cushion and nothing else. You will get an email when your order goes to cutting; that email is the deadline.

Frequently. Odd shapes, curved fronts, cut-outs around posts, U-shaped nook cushions, bolsters with contrast ends. Send a sketch or a paper pattern through the quote form and we will price it.

Yes, and for an unusual shape it is the most reliable way to work. Post it to us and we will pattern from it, allowing for the fact that the foam has compressed. Ask us for the address before you ship anything.

Yes. Fabric samples are available, up to six at a time, posted first class within the United States. Pick them from the fabric book or tell us the colors you are working with and we will choose a few. Order samples before you order cushions - a screen cannot show you what a fabric does in full sun.

Price, and how the fabric is made. Grade A is the Canvas range - plain solids, the workhorses. Grade B adds the textured weaves like Cast and Spectrum, where more than one color of yarn is woven together. Grade C is the jacquards, stripes and heavier constructions that take longer to weave. Durability is the same across all three; they all carry the same 5 year warranty.

For anything in real sun, yes. The pigment is added to the acrylic before the fiber is spun, so the color goes all the way through the thread instead of sitting on the surface. Printed outdoor fabric fades from the top down and looks tired in two seasons. This does not.

We will sew customer’s own material on request, but the fabric warranty is then yours rather than ours, and we cannot warrant the seams if the cloth is not suitable for outdoor use. Call before you buy anything.

A waterfall edge runs one piece of fabric over the front, which gives a softer rounded profile and no seam to sit on. A boxed edge adds a separate side panel, which holds a squarer shape, takes a welt, and generally looks more tailored. Boxed is the more common choice on deep seating; waterfall on thin seat pads.

A welt is a cord sewn into the seam around the edge. It sharpens the profile and takes the wear that would otherwise land on the seam itself, so it lasts longer. On a boxed cushion we recommend it. On a waterfall cushion it is decorative.

Every boxed cushion has a hidden zipper. Waterfall cushions and knife-edge pillows are sewn closed by default because a zipper in a waterfall seam is a weak point - ask if you want one anyway and we will fit it.

Polyurethane outdoor foam for almost everything - it is open-cell so water drains through rather than sitting inside. Reticulated foam drains faster still and is the right answer for anything that lives uncovered in the rain or beside a pool. Polyester fiber is softer and cheaper but flattens sooner; it suits backs and pillows more than seats.

A bonded polyester wrap around the foam. It softens the edge, stops the foam printing its outline through the cover, and gives the cushion a fuller look. We recommend it on every seat cushion and it is on by default.

Free on orders over $149 within the contiguous United States. Below that it is a flat $19.95. Oversized items - long bench cushions, chaise pads, sofa sets - may carry a surcharge, which is shown in the cart before you check out, never added afterwards.

No, and this is worth being blunt about. A cushion cut to your measurements in your fabric cannot be resold to anyone, so it cannot be returned for a refund or a size change. What we do cover: if we cut it wrong against your written order, we remake it at our cost. If the fabric is faulty, the Sunbrella warranty applies and we handle the claim. If it arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days and keep the packaging.

Call us. First thing we do is compare the finished cushion against the measurements on your order. If they match, the cushion is right and the measurement was wrong - we can remake at a discount, but it is a new order. If they do not match, it is on us and we remake it free. This is exactly why we offer to check numbers before cutting, and why it is worth taking us up on.

To Canada, yes, at cost, with duties payable by you. Elsewhere, contact us first - for most destinations the freight on a bulky cushion costs more than the cushion.
